Gift-a-Story is an initiative by Your Story Bag & YSB Tribe of Storytellers. Our aim is to make stories affordable & sustainable, both for the listener and the teller.

Stories & Storytelling should be accessible to all sections of society. As much as we want to create inclusive spaces, we often find ourselves in places when we question the sustainability of our work.

Gifta-a-Story is an initiative to enable storytellers reach pockets of people (children & adults) who need a storyteller but are unable to afford it. Our effort is to identify a ‘ project’ or program & get it crowdfunded to enable us to sustain it over a period of time, offering a storyteller experience, growth and sustenance. Needless to say, the satisfaction of doing what is important.

Gift-a-Story is beyond charity or volunteering. It is active participation towards  making storytelling accessible and affordable for all.

What Do We Do?

  • YSB Tribe of Storytellers offer stand-alone Storytelling Events / Sessions / Shows for underserved schools & organisations
  • We work with Children & Adults
  • We conduct Workshops, Programs, and Fund-Raisers for not-for-profits at discounted prices

How Does It Work?

  • The organisation/institute can ask for a specific storied intervention (time bound, short/long term)
  • Based on the requirement, Your Story Bag curates a program and assigns a team of storytellers
  • The team creates a proposal & budget for the intervention
  • The not-for-profit & Your Story Bag raises funds for the project
  • Once 50% of the fund is raised, the team commences work
  • We maintain 100% transparency in our operations
